Let your mind wander.
Your mind is likely to wander which is completely natural. When this happens gently return your focus to your breath.
Notice your body.
Make sure your body is in a stable position, one that you can stay in for a while. Accomodate for aches and pains these in your meditation stance.
Set a timer.
If you are just starting on your meditation journey it can help to set a time limit. It is recommended to start with around 5/10 minutes.
